Do you think I have tonsillitis?

Last week for a few days I was feeling feverish, I had sore muscles and felt weak and just didn't feel very good at all. That's pretty much over but now I have a very sore throat. It hurts mostly when I swallow, and sometimes the pain is very intense, I also keep spitting out yellowish flem. One of the nodes on the side of my neck is swollen and noticeably bigger than the other when I touch it. I opened my mouth to look at my tonsils and they were red and a bit bigger than usual. Is it possible that I have tonsillitis? And if so, do you think I will need surgery?
