Why do my eyes hurt so bad? :( ?

I just started wearing contacts about a week ago. They never bothered me before, but since a couple days ago, they hurt like **** when I look to the far left and right, and up and down. I have a headache too, and neck pains. Yesterday I had body aches, so I stayed in bed all day. I also felt kinda feverish. does this have anything to do with the contacts? I took them out already but my eyes/head still hurt. Did I get an infection or is it just the flu or something?
